The single most fantastically comfortable bed on which we have ever slept! Barbara and Suzanne are so gracious and kind. Spectacular breakfast, and charming historical house. Definitely one of the most pleasant experiences we have had anywhere. Other B&B owners (indeed, any hotelier anywhere) would do well to take note and see how to operate an outstanding, first-rate operation.

Pesfect! The inn is charming. The breakfasts were delicious and the hospitality was warm and helpful. I highly recommend this home away from home in Seagrove, NC.

My wife and I were in Seagrove looking around for pottery and decided to stay the night. We started looking for a place to stay and immediately found the B and B. We pulled in the driveway and the sisters were working in the yard. We asked if rooms were available, Suzanne said there were and we could come in and look around and if we liked the place we could stay. We knew we were staying as soon as we got there actually. This place is pretty awesome and the sisters were about as gracious of hosts as we could have ever imagined. We pull in driveway, no reservations and only staying one night! This is basically unheard of anyplace else and we wished we could have stayed a week. A fresh pot of coffee was made for us along with cheese and crackers and we sat on the quiet front porch enjoying the light breeze and our time away from the beach. Lucky for us, we happened to be the only guests there that night and were able to relax and take full advantage of the huge, nicely lit living room reading the history on Duck House and the quaint town of Seagrove. The house is just 10 miles from the zoo and the road there is quiet and no traffic lights. As we were leaving for the zoo, Suzanne told us about the the only one of two covered bridges left in N.C. make sure you listen to her directions to the bridge or you won't find it. All in all I highly recommend finding and staying here at the Duck House, you will love it. The sisters have a book full of their guests photos so when you get ready to leave get a picture of them to show your friends and family the most hospitable and gracious ladies in Seagrove. Can't wait to get back!

Lovely bed and breakfast with amazing hostesses, Barbara and Suzanne. We had a wonderful overnight trip to "get away" and enjoy the local pottery. Couldn't have asked for a nicer room, and the breakfast was delicious too! There's not much else for accommodations in Seagrove, but even if there were, I'd go back to the Duck Smith house in a heartbeat.

My wife and I spent one night at The Duck Smith House and I can't say enough nice things about Barbara and Suzanne. When we arrived we got a tour of the house followed by a cheese plate to enjoy while we sat on a swing and had a glass of wine (which we brought with us). We stayed in the Carolina room which was extremely comfortable and the next morning we had an amazing breakfast before headed home. Unfortunately it was a quick stay but we are already looking forward to our next trip to Seagrove and will definitely be staying at The Duck Smith House.
